Cloud 9

I killed my love with a sigh of relief
Never to be its slave anymore
To defy the current of togetherness
To be alone in a room of ones own

Freedom from the clutches of intimacy
Landed me at the altar of solitude
Release from the demands of love
Freed my desires from captivity

Fading memories cannot hurt
I felt as light as a feather
Bouncing from place to place
I set my course to the unknown

Collapse

(Inspired by the Documentary 'Collapse' click the picture to launch trailer)

Oceans feed on land
Earth shudders often
Floods took our homes
People move here and there

Center was silent,
About the storm.
Sheep were scattered
Like ashes in a wind.

Chaos bared its teeth
Food, a calculation
Shelter, a shared nightmare
Water turned wine

Sins of our fathers
Paying a late visit
No, we reached here
The dividend of greed

Dear God...

(This poem was inspired by the movie 'Lourdes')

Why did you choose me?
To carry your light
Who spoke in my dream?
To fold my bed and walk

How do you shower your love?
Does it fall like the rain?
On the faithful and faithless alike
Drenching the rich and poor

Is it like lightning then?
Picking a random subject
A cripple like me
Never counted your blessings

I don’t live by your rules
Will I be damned?
What is a normal life?
If everyone is unique

Rainy Thoughts.....

Only offspring to the ocean and cloud
His smile is like a shiny white sword
Devotion of trees makes him so proud
Loyalty of rivers reveal, he is their lord

He sees every window's pain and joy
He never misses a date with a farmer
He gives soaked expressions to the coy
He sighs at the lovers getting warmer

As gentle as a white pony
And as wild as a dark horse
He roars with those who laugh
He weeps with those who mourn

He brings wonder with every visit
Leaves a colorful promise to come again.

A long way from home

For the marooned astronaut
Home is a small blue spot
A sailor who lost his compass
Will call the nearest land home

For the secluded prisoner
Home is the letter that will never arrive
The faces around the bonfire
Is home for the man away from his tribe

The thoughtful philosopher will say
Home is what he has not learned
For the meditating monk
Home is a promise called heaven

For lovers living apart
Home is where they last met
Home is different for everyone
A place where we are buried alive
